Backup & Disaster Recovery

Backups are easy.
Recovery is what counts.

Image-based backups on site for fast restores, copies offsite in Australia, and a locked copy ransomware can't touch. Managed by us, so it's never a question of whether it worked.

How it works

Three copies. Two places. One locked.

The industry-standard approach to backup, managed end to end. No swapping drives, no tapes, no wondering if last night's backup ran.

3

Copies of your data

Your live data, a local backup and an offsite copy. Lose one, you still have two.

2

Places

On site for fast everyday restores, and in Australian cloud storage if the site itself is lost.

1

Locked copy

An immutable copy that can't be changed or deleted, not even by an attacker with admin access.

Don't forget Microsoft 365: Microsoft keeps the service running, but protecting your data is your job. We back up email, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams too.

Sound familiar?

It's rarely if. It's when.

Your CRM, your accounts, your client files. Everything that keeps the business moving runs on data. Most businesses only find out their backups don't work when they need them.

Nobody's checked the backups lately.

They were set up years ago. Whether they still run, or would restore, is anyone's guess.

Everything is in one place.

If the backup sits next to the server, a fire, flood or break-in takes both.

The backups are as exposed as the data.

Ransomware looks for backups first. If it can reach them, it can encrypt or delete them.

Microsoft 365 isn't covered.

Deleted emails, overwritten files and lost Teams data often aren't recoverable without a separate backup.

Still swapping drives or tapes.

Manual rotation relies on someone remembering, every single day.

No one knows how long a restore takes.

Until you need one. Then the whole business is waiting.

A backup you haven't restored is just a hope.

What's included

Backup and recovery, end to end.

On-premise and cloud, servers and Microsoft 365, set up properly and looked after by our team.

Image-based server backups

Whole-server backups that restore fast, from a single file to an entire system.

On-site fast restore

A local copy for everyday recoveries, so a deleted folder is back in minutes, not days.

Offsite cloud copy

Nightly backups replicated to cloud storage in Australia. No vaults, no drives to rotate.

Immutable protection

A locked copy that can't be altered or deleted, protecting you if an attacker gets in.

Microsoft 365 backup

Email, calendars, contacts, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams, restorable item by item.

Long-term retention

Backups kept as long as your business and compliance obligations require.

The bad day

When ransomware hits, your backup is the plan.

Attackers go after backups first, because without them you're more likely to pay. Our locked offsite copy can't be changed or deleted, so you recover from a clean copy instead of negotiating with criminals.

Questions

What people ask us

Where is our data stored?

Your local backups stay on site for fast restores. Offsite copies are stored in cloud data centres in Australia, so your data stays onshore.

What does immutable actually mean?

Once written, the backup can't be changed or deleted for a set period, at least three months, not even by someone with administrator access. If ransomware gets in, that copy is still safe.

Doesn't Microsoft already back up 365?

Microsoft keeps the service running, but it isn't designed to recover data you've deleted, overwritten or lost to an attack. A separate backup lets you restore individual emails, files and Teams data.

How quickly can we restore?

Everyday restores, like a deleted file or folder, come from the on-site copy and are usually quick. Full recoveries depend on how much data is involved. We'll talk you through realistic recovery times for your environment.

Can you work with our existing backup setup?

Often, yes. We'll review what you have, tell you what's working, and recommend changes only where there's a gap.

Is this part of Premium Care?

Backup and data protection can be included in a Premium Care managed services agreement, or provided on its own. Talk to us about the right fit.
